I love the medium of paint and colour itself. I am drawn to create art by a need to communicate. Looking deeply into things leads me to peace. Often a moment of clarity or transformation will make me begin. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to experiment in this way.

My inspiration is the complexity of the natural world and those who live in it. The spirituality in nature and humanity.

Painting is a form of visual language. Marks, colour, shapes and images are interpreted through the filter of the life and experience of the viewer. We all sense there is so much more in the world than the visible. In my work I am usually attempting to catch what is elusive and unseen.
